Project 26 – International Research Network on Nonlinear Phenomena in Physics and Interdisciplinary Applications

Objectives

The thematic project aims at consolidating internationalization as a strategic axis for the scientific, academic and social progress of Physics research, with the PPGFIS/UFC, PPGFIS/UFPI and PPGMAT/UFJF programs integrating a study of non-linear phenomena.

The research focus concentrates on the investigation of collective dynamics in networks, interfaces and materials, as well as complex processes applied to epidemiology, statistical physics and dynamics systems, aligned to the development of mathematical and computational techniques which are capable of inferring interactions between variables, neural signals and emerging materials properties.

The proposal also aims at promoting an interdisciplinary impact by applying these results in public health, complex systems modeling and sustainable technologies, widening international partnerships, coauthorship publications and academic mobility, as well as training qualified human resources by training students and young researchers in advanced techniques, in articulation with national and international institutions.
