Project 24 – Global Academic Integration: Network of Graduate Programs at UFC-UNILAB-UNIPAMPA
Objectives
The goals to be reached with relation to the Theme are the development of renewable energy production processes, bioenergy and hydrogen production, CO2 capture, storage and use, nanomaterials development and application aiming at a sustainable energy transition and at contributing to energy efficiency. With internationalization, it aims at consolidating the excellence of the graduate programs participating in this project and widening its scientific and social impacts.
The main goal is the strengthening and sharing of high-level international cooperation promoting the integration between science, technology and innovation in highly-qualified human resource training.
In the academic-scientific scope, the objectives include: development of new materials and processes which enable renewable energies obtention, and CO2 capture, storage and use, CO2 electrochemical reduction electrocatalysis for methane production, hydrogen production via alkaline water electrolysis and using the hybrid electrolysis system, as well as investigating anticorrosive plastering and corrosion-resistant alloys.
This project will also contribute to human resource training with expertise in Renewable and Sustainable Energies. The project will also foster faculty and student exchange by means of post-doctoral and split-site doctoral programs in worldly renowned groups, respectively. Furthermore, we intend to establish memorandums of understanding and research programs, international cooperation with cutting-edge institutions and increase the attraction of international students to the graduate programs participating in this project and promote an internationalization culture in the institutions which is diverse, inclusive and welcoming.
Finally, we intend to stimulate cooperation with civil society organizations to widen institutional relevance and research impact in its context and implement a disclosure plan to share the knowledge acquired in international cooperation with society and the external community.
