Project 21 – Social Inequalities, Inclusion, and Territorialities: Pathways toward a Research and Internationalization Network

Objectives

Strengthen internationalization and scientific collaboration between the Graduate Programs that integrate the network, by means of the development of comparative research, academic exchange and shared scientific production about social inequalities, inclusion and territorialities.

The project articulates different disciplinary perspectives to analyze the social, economic, cultural, territorial and psychosocial dimensions of inequalities. comprehended as multidimensional phenomena, as related to forms of access to assets and rights, to public policies, to inclusion processes and to inclusion processes and to different experiences and vulnerability and recognition.

The research will contemplate, in articulation with the programs’ trajectories and expertises, issues related to work, poverty, youth, violence, migration, generation and gender relations, socioenvironmental dynamics and public policies, integrating macro and microsocial dimensions and comparative approaches.

Internationalization will be promoted by the consolidation and widening of partnerships with international institutions and researchers, seminars and other academic activities, comparative research and joint production of knowledge.

Therefore, it aims at potentializing research already developed by the programs, incorporating perspectives and experiences produced in different national contexts, strengthening human resource training and widening the network’s scientific cooperation capacity, contributing to the reduction of asymmetries between the graduate programs.
